Wellness Salon Manager in Training
About The Position
Join a leader in the tanning and wellness industry as a Manager in Training. Working side by side with the Store Manager, you will learn how to lead a team, achieve store goals, and operate a successful salon. The role offers hands-on management training in a welcoming, team-oriented environment, with commission-based compensation and opportunities for career advancement. You will develop skills in team leadership, recruiting and scheduling, performance management, expense control, customer service, salon operations, local promotions, and secure handling of cash, deposits, and customer card data. The position requires working some nights, weekends, and holidays; occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must expect to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to operate a salon.
- Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
- Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
- Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
- Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
- Provide customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
- Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
- Learn to handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including PCI security training.
