Wellness Salon Manager in Training
About The Position
Join the tanning and wellness industry as a Manager in Training, working alongside the Store Manager to learn how to lead a team, meet goals, and operate a successful salon. The role provides hands-on training in leadership, sales, operations, and customer service, with compensation consisting of base pay and up to 12% commission. Managers in Training earn an average of $12.25–$15.00+ per hour, and top performers may earn more. The position offers career advancement opportunities toward Store Manager roles. Salons are open seven days a week. Schedules are designed with flexibility, but the role includes some nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position. Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to travel locally occasionally for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Store Manager to learn salon operations.
- Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
- Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
- Set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
- Manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
- Provide customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly, while meeting health department standards.
- Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
- Handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including completing PCI security training.
