Wellness Salon Manager in Training
About The Position
Join the leader in the tanning and wellness industry as a Manager in Training. Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to coach a high-energy team, meet goals, and operate a successful salon in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. The role offers hands-on Store Manager training, performance-based commission, team contests, and opportunities for career advancement. Managers in Training earn an average of $10.50–$15.00+ per hour, including base pay and up to 12% commission. Store Managers can earn $19.00–$23.00+ per hour, including base pay, up to 12% commission, and a monthly bonus. Top performers may earn more. Salons are open seven days a week. Schedules are designed with flexibility in mind, though the role involves some nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position. Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and POS skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to operate a salon.
- Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
- Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
- Set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
- Manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
- Deliver strong customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
- Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
- Handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including completing PCI security training.
