About The Position

The Manager in Training works alongside the Store Manager to learn how to lead and operate a successful tanning and wellness salon. The role provides hands-on training in team leadership, recruiting, scheduling, performance management, expense control, customer service, salon operations, local promotions, and secure handling of cash, deposits, and customer card data. The position offers hourly base pay plus commission, with opportunities for advancement to Store Manager.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in retail, customer service, operations, or management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to motivate others.
Basic computer and point-of-sale skills.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel locally occasionally for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to run the salon.
Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
Set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
Manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
Provide customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly while ensuring it meets health department standards.
Help plan and carry out local promotions to increase store sales.
Handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely.
