About The Position

The Wellness Salon Manager in Training works alongside the Store Manager to learn how to lead a team and operate a successful salon. The role includes developing skills in coaching, sales, recruiting, scheduling, performance management, expense control, customer service, salon upkeep, local promotions, and secure handling of cash and customer card data. Managers in Training earn an average of $10.50–$15.00+ per hour, including base pay and up to 12% commission; top performers may earn more. The position offers hands-on training and opportunities for advancement to Store Manager, who can earn $19.00–$23.00+ per hour, including base pay, up to 12% commission, and a monthly bonus. The salons operate seven days a week. Scheduling is designed with flexibility, though the position requires some nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position. Requirements

• 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to run a salon.
• Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
• Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
• Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
• Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
• Provide customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
• Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
• Learn to handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including through PCI security training.
