Wellness Salon Manager in Training
About The Position
Join a leader in the tanning and wellness industry as a Manager in Training. Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to coach a team, achieve goals, and operate a successful salon in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. The role offers hands-on Store Manager training, performance-based commission, and opportunities for career advancement. Managers in Training earn an average of $10.50–$15.00+ per hour, consisting of base pay and up to 12% commission; top performers may earn more. Store Managers can earn $19.00–$23.00+ per hour, consisting of base pay, up to 12% commission, and a monthly bonus. Salons are open seven days a week. Schedules are designed with flexibility in mind, though the role involves some nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position. Requirements
- 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel locally occasionally for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Store Manager to learn how to operate a salon.
- Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
- Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
- Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
- Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
- Deliver customer service that encourages client retention and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
- Help plan and carry out local promotions to increase store sales.
- Learn to handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including through PCI security training.
