About The Position

The Wellness Salon Manager in Training works side by side with a Store Manager to learn how to operate a successful salon and prepare for a Store Manager role. The position involves learning to coach a high-energy team, achieve goals, manage salon operations and expenses, and provide excellent customer service. The role also supports sales growth, salon cleanliness, health standards, secure handling of cash and customer card data, and local promotions. The salons are open seven days a week; schedules are designed with flexibility in mind, but some nights, weekends, and holidays are expected. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for 7 or more hours a day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate a salon by working alongside the Store Manager.
• Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
• Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop employees.
• Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
• Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
• Provide customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and running smoothly, and ensure it meets health department standards.
• Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
• Learn to handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including PCI security training.
• Attend occasional local meetings or training, or support other salon locations as needed.
