About The Position

The Wellness Salon Manager in Training works alongside the Store Manager to learn how to lead a team and operate a successful salon. The role includes developing skills in coaching, recruiting, scheduling, goal-setting, performance tracking, expense management, customer service, salon upkeep, local promotions, and secure handling of cash, deposits, and customer card data. The position offers hands-on training and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in retail, customer service, operations, or management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to motivate others.
Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
Availability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Work with the Store Manager to learn how to run a successful salon.
Learn to lead and coach Wellness Consultants and the Salon Support team.
Learn to recruit, schedule, and develop team members.
Learn to set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
Learn to manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
Deliver strong customer service and learn to resolve customer concerns professionally.
Keep the salon clean, stocked, and operating smoothly while ensuring it meets health department standards.
Help plan and carry out local promotions to grow store sales.
Handle salon cash, deposits, and customer card data securely, including completing PCI security training.
Attend occasional local meetings or training, or support other salon locations as needed.
