About The Position

The Wellness Nurse works at Ridgemere in Conway, Arkansas, on a full-time 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. schedule. The nurse leads by example in medication administration, resident personal care, and documentation. The role includes providing compassionate care, completing resident assessments and medical records accurately, maintaining and updating service plans, and supervising care staff. The nurse must support residents appropriately and communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and community staff.

Requirements

• Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
• Experience providing hands-on care to memory-impaired residents.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
• Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
• Ability to communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and community staff.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example when passing medications, assisting residents with personal care, and completing paperwork.
• Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
• Provide professional, caring interactions that help residents feel safe and cared for.
• Maintain and update effective service plans.
• Supervise care staff.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting people after a fall.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and community staff.
