About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Wellness Nurse Manager at Boulevard St Charles in St. Charles, Missouri. The role provides direct nursing care, including medication passes as needed, and leads the Wellness team in delivering quick, reliable, person-centered care. In the absence of department heads, the Wellness Nurse Manager is in charge of the building. The manager is expected to help with call lights and team requests, model a sense of urgency, complete and file resident assessments and medical records accurately, and ensure residents feel safe and cared for. The position follows a two-week schedule: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday during Week 1; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday during Week 2. Shifts run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The advertised pay range is $35–$40 per hour. The work is physically active and involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, performing two-person transfers, and assisting residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls.

Requirements

Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
Have a thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
Have comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
Know the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with mobility and after falls, and perform two-person transfers.
Obtain criminal clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment is preferred but not required.
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist the Wellness team and other departments in providing prompt, reliable, person-centered care.
Take charge of the building in the absence of department heads.
Assist with call lights and requests for help from the team, responding with urgency to residents’ needs.
Provide direct, hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
Provide professional, compassionate care that helps residents feel safe and cared for.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist residents after a fall.
Perform two-person resident transfers as needed.
