Wellness Nurse Manager 7pm-7am $34-36.50 (Full Time)
About The Position
The Wellness Nurse Manager at University Living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, leads and supports the Wellness team and assists other departments in providing prompt, reliable, person-centered care. When department heads are absent, this role is in charge of the building. The manager stays active on the floor, responds to call lights and requests for assistance, and models urgency and compassionate, professional care that helps residents feel safe and cared for. The position provides hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed, and completes resident assessments, medical records, and internal documentation accurately and efficiently. The manager needs working knowledge of care standards, regulations, medication laws and regulations, and requirements for resident care and supervision. This is a full-time overnight position, working 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on a rotating schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday in Week 1; Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday in Week 2. Pay is $34–$36.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and a commitment to residents.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment.
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Responsibilities
