Wellness Nurse Manager 7am-7pm $35-40 (Full Time)
About The Position
The Wellness Nurse Manager oversees and actively supports the Wellness team and other departments to ensure residents receive quick, reliable, person-centered care. In the absence of department heads, this role is in charge of the building. The manager leads by example, responds to call lights and requests for assistance, and prioritizes residents’ needs with urgency. The position also ensures resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents are accurately and efficiently completed and properly filed. The manager provides compassionate, professional interactions that help residents feel safe and cared for, and provides direct hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed. This full-time position is at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The schedule alternates weekly: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday one week; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday the next week. Shifts run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The pay range is $35 to $40 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform two-person transfers and assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
- Criminal clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Responsibilities
