About The Position

The Wellness Nurse Manager provides hands-on nursing care and medication passes as needed while leading and assisting the Wellness team and other departments. In the absence of department heads, this role is in charge of the building and helps ensure prompt, reliable, person-centered care. The manager responds to call lights and team requests, models urgency and resident-first service, and ensures resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents are completed and filed accurately. The position is based at Vitalia Mentor in Mentor, Ohio, and works a full-time overnight schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in Week 1; Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday in Week 2. The stated pay range is $32–$39.50 per hour.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulations and law.
Knowledge of requirements for providing appropriate resident care and supervision.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and a commitment to residents.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment is preferred but not required.
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist the Wellness team and other departments in providing quick, reliable, person-centered care.
