Wellness Nurse Manager 7pm-7am $32-39.50 (Part Time)
About The Position
The Wellness Nurse Manager provides direct, hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed, and helps lead the Wellness team and other departments in delivering quick, reliable, person-centered care. When department heads are absent, this position is in charge of the building. The manager sets an example on the floor by responding to call lights and team requests and prioritizing residents’ needs with urgency. The role also involves completing and filing resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and ensuring interactions with residents are professional, caring, and help residents feel safe and cared for. This is a part-time position at Vitalia Westlake in Westlake, Ohio. The schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with work on Monday in Week 1 and Wednesday in Week 2. Pay is $32–$39.50 per hour. The job requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, as well as frequently lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, performing two-person transfers, and assisting residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform two-person transfers and assist residents with mobility and after falls.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment is preferred but not required.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred but not required.
