About The Position

The Wellness Nurse Manager leads and participates in the Wellness team and supports other departments to ensure residents receive prompt, reliable, person-centered care. When department heads are absent, this position is in charge of the building. The manager assists with call lights and team requests, demonstrates urgency in responding to residents’ needs, and provides hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed. The role is responsible for accurately and efficiently completing and filing resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents. The Wellness Nurse Manager is expected to provide professional, compassionate care that helps residents feel safe and cared for, and to model Arrow’s core values. This is a full-time overnight position at Vitalia Stow in Stow, Ohio. The shift is 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with a rotating schedule: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday in week one; Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in week two. Pay is $32–$39.50 per hour.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulations and law.
Knowledge of requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and a commitment to residents.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and to assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment (preferred, not required).
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

Lead and assist the Wellness team and other departments in providing quick, reliable, person-centered care.
Be in charge of the building in the absence of department heads.
Provide hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
Respond to call lights and requests for assistance from the team, prioritizing residents’ needs.
Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
Provide professional, compassionate care that helps residents feel safe and cared for.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Perform two-person transfers as needed.
