Wellness Nurse Manager 7am-7pm $35-37.75 (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Wellness Nurse Manager at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio. The role works 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on a two-week rotating schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in week one; Monday, Saturday, and Sunday in week two. Pay is $35 to $37.75 per hour. The manager leads and actively supports the Wellness team and other departments to provide timely, reliable, person-centered care. In the absence of department heads, this role is in charge of the building. The position also provides hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed, and ensures resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents are accurate and properly filed. The manager is expected to model compassionate, professional care and respond to residents’ needs with urgency.
Requirements
- Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Have thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Have comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Know the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to residents.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Have a positive and energetic attitude toward residents.
- Be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
- Be criminally cleared.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing hands-on care to residents with memory impairment is preferred but not required.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist the Wellness team and other departments in providing quick, reliable, person-centered care.
- Take charge of the building in the absence of department heads.
- Provide direct, hands-on nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
- Assist with call lights and team requests, demonstrating urgency in responding to residents’ needs.
- Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
- Model Arrow’s core values and provide professional, compassionate interactions that help residents feel safe and cared for.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
- Perform two-person transfers as needed.
