About The Position

The Wellness Director coordinates and supervises care and services for Residents to achieve desired clinical, emotional, and wellness outcomes in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements, company standards, and established policies and procedures. The role oversees clinical departments, care planning, quality and safety programs, regulatory inspections, and clinical staff supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in Senior Living.
• LPN or RN license as required by state regulations.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• At least 3 years of work experience as a Director of Nursing in the senior living industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor goals and expectations for all clinical departments.
• Develop departmental budgets, re-forecasts, and staffing plans.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Improvement, Safety, Infection, Disaster, and Environmental Control Programs.
• Participate in and oversee the admission and ongoing Resident assessment and care planning process.
• Oversee surveys and inspections conducted by government agencies.
• Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Supervise clinical staff, including hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, monitoring, counseling, discipline, and terminations.
