Kentucky Tech Instructor Rank III- Welding Instructor (156-OCTE)
About The Position
The Meade County College and Career Center in Brandenburg, Kentucky, is seeking a Welding Instructor for the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Education. The center is a student-focused environment within a statewide network of Area Technology Centers that provide Career and Technical Education pathways and collaborate with business and industry partners to prepare students for future careers. The instructor teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program and performs other duties as required. The selected applicant becomes a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System. Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to complete a drug screening test and background check. The position is advertised under KRS Chapter 156 OCTE and is not subject to KRS 18A provisions for classified or unclassified service.
Requirements
- Must hold a Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught, or a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught, or have four years of appropriate work experience, including two years within the last five years.
- Must be able to acquire personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCR, ABC, AGC). Applicants may be hired before obtaining the required personal certifications but must acquire them at the next available testing period.
