About The Position

The Clark Area Technology Center in Winchester, Kentucky, seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Health Science Instructor to teach occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program. The center operates as part of the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Career and Technical Education, which prepares Kentucky students for future careers in collaboration with business and industry partners. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, and is ineligible for overtime pay. Salary is $4,225.50 per month, with final salary dependent on rank and experience. The selected applicant will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System. Applicants and employees may be required to complete a drug screening and background check. Applicants currently under contract with a local school district must provide a written release from their superintendent before an offer can be extended.

Requirements

Hold a Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught, or hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in that subject area, or have four years of appropriate work experience, including two years within the last five years.
Hold a current RN license.
Have one year of long-term care experience obtained in an approved skilled nursing facility or distinct part (SNF or NF) long-term care unit as defined in Federal Regulations Part 483 – Requirements for State and Long-Term Care Facilities.
