About The Position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acquires additional dealership inventory by purchasing vehicles from customers. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing customer expectations, and communicating throughout the We’ll Buy Your Car process, with the goal of delivering on the program’s “check within an hour” promise. The position offers flexible hours and hourly pay plus a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extremely self-motivated, with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience and exceed customer expectations.
• Demonstrated prospecting skills.
• Strong organization and follow-up skills.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming leads from AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, online, and through walk-in traffic.
• Use available resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles.
• Schedule appointments for potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
• Execute AutoNation’s We’ll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
• Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
• Interact with customers throughout the day in person and by phone.
• Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
• Make vehicle offers using sound judgment, research, and interpersonal skills.
