About The Position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acquires additional dealership inventory by purchasing vehicles from customers. Associates provide an exceptional customer experience, manage customer expectations, and communicate throughout the AutoNation We'll Buy Your Car process. The role includes working toward the program's “check within an hour” promise. It offers flexible hours and hourly pay plus a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extremely self-motivated.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Use sound judgment, research, and excellent interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles.
• Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming leads through AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, internet, and walk-in traffic.
• Use available resources to identify and engage private parties looking to sell their vehicles.
• Set appointments for potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
• Execute the AutoNation We'll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
• Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
• Interact with customers throughout the day, both in person and over the phone.
• Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
• Manage customer expectations and communicate throughout the vehicle-purchasing process.
