About The Position

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist acquires additional dealership inventory by purchasing vehicles from customers. The role provides an exceptional customer experience by managing expectations and communicating throughout AutoNation’s We’ll Buy Your Car process, with a goal of delivering the program’s “check within an hour” promise. The position offers flexible hours, hourly pay, and a bonus for each vehicle purchased.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extremely self-motivated.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

Nice To Haves

• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming leads from AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, internet, and walk-in traffic.
• Use available resources to identify and engage private parties who are looking to sell their vehicles.
• Schedule appointments for potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
• Carry out the AutoNation We’ll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
• Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
• Interact with customers throughout the day, in person and over the phone.
• Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
• Manage customer expectations and communicate throughout the vehicle-purchase process.
• Work toward delivering the program’s “check within an hour” promise.
• Make vehicle offers using sound judgment, research, and interpersonal skills.
