About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Training Manager to lead training and development initiatives across its indoor and outdoor waterparks. The role focuses on guest and associate safety, operational excellence, employee growth, and satisfaction, ensuring team members are trained to provide safe, efficient, and friendly service. As part of the leadership team, the manager guides, supports, and inspires associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a lifeguard instructor or in a waterpark leadership role, preferably in training or supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Waterpark experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Ability to learn and master StarGuard Elite Portal, HotSOS, and Mobaro.

Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification classes.
Develop and deliver weekly and monthly training meetings and ongoing lifeguard and ride attendant in-service training.
Manage training records and reports, including metrics, audits, and compliance documentation.
Oversee internal audits and assist with external audits.
Coordinate and conduct monthly and quarterly zone certifications.
Perform regular safety equipment inspections and maintain accurate inventory records.
Mentor and lead waterpark associates by promoting professional growth, holding team members accountable, and reinforcing safety and service standards.
Support special projects and training initiatives assigned by leadership.
Maintain a professional and approachable presence and promptly address guest or associate concerns.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry standards.
