Waterpark Operation Manager
About The Position
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Operation Manager to administer, operate, and directly manage indoor and outdoor waterpark venues. The role is accountable for achieving objectives related to guest and associate safety, sanitation and cleanliness, equipment safety and repairs, sales and profitability, costs, employee retention, and guest service satisfaction. As part of the leadership team, the manager guides, supports, and inspires associates while ensuring guests feel welcome and safe and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service. This is an hourly wage role.
Requirements
- Star Guard Lifeguard Certification.
- Star Guard Instructor Certification.
- Certified Pool Operator Certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in management, waterpark, or aquatics departments, with progressive managerial and leadership responsibilities.
- A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, select, hire, orient, train, assign, schedule, evaluate, and supervise waterpark associates; address performance and carry out disciplinary action as needed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Oversee cost controls and labor scheduling across waterpark operations to optimize safety and service standards and maximize profitability.
- Assist with the planning and development of waterpark strategies and actions, and execute them effectively with waterpark associates.
- Oversee all operations within the waterpark venues.
- Ensure lifeguards and EMTs perform according to standards established by Kalahari’s certifying agency and management team.
- Guide, support, and inspire associates while ensuring guests feel welcome and safe and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
