About The Position

Massanutten Resort is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Custodian to maintain clean and orderly public areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas at the Massanutten WaterPark. Duties include removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, and stripping and polishing floors. The custodian must use chemicals, equipment, and cleaning applications safely; training may be provided to the right candidate.

This is a full-time, year-round position with a first-shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Days follow a rotating four-week schedule: Week One, Monday through Friday; Week Two, Monday and Thursday through Sunday; Week Three, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday; Week Four, Monday through Thursday and Sunday. Compensation is $12.77 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous custodial experience is preferred, but training may be provided.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency in using custodial equipment and cleaning supplies is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, windows, locker areas, retail areas, and other assigned areas.
• Collect trash throughout the building.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors throughout the building, including GEP establishments and public tile floors.
• Clean and polish the exterior of lockers.
• Remove trash, vacuum, mop, and strip and polish floors as needed.
• Use chemicals, equipment, and cleaning applications safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
