About The Position

Massanutten Resort is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Custodian to work at the Massanutten WaterPark. The position maintains public areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces in a clean and orderly condition. Duties include removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, stripping and polishing floors, and using chemicals and cleaning equipment safely. Training may be provided to the right candidate.

This is a full-time, year-round position on a rotating four-week schedule. Hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with additional hours as needed. Compensation is $13.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous custodial experience is preferred, but training may be provided.
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of custodial equipment and cleaning supplies is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, windows, locker areas, retail areas, and other assigned areas.
• Collect trash throughout the building.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors throughout the building, including GEP establishments and public tile floors.
• Clean and polish the exterior of lockers.
• Remove trash, vacuum, mop, strip, and polish as needed.
• Use chemicals, equipment, and cleaning applications safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
