About The Position

Bennett Day School is seeking a part-time second-shift Custodian to help maintain safe, clean, and sanitary facilities, including the school building and grounds. The work is performed under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Operations. Custodial personnel may also perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and the administration.

The schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday. Additional hours may be available. Hours may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Prior commercial custodial experience preferred.
• Accountability for time and inventory management.
• Self-motivation.
• Strong work ethic.
• Cooperative approach.
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
• Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work outside in varying conditions.
• Regular and on-time attendance.

• Prior commercial custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial services and ensure work adheres to school standards.
• Coordinate with school management to complete work in a timely manner.
• Report observed maintenance or repair issues.
• Attend meetings as requested.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for assemblies, meetings, and events.
• Store cleaning supplies and school-wide deliveries as needed.
• Ensure activities operate consistently and ethically within Bennett Day School’s mission and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and the administration.
