About The Position

As a warehouse colleague at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will help deliver products ranging from personal protective equipment to microscopes for high school biology classrooms. In this picking role, you will select items from the warehouse and prepare them for shipment, helping customers and colleagues receive the products they need. The work involves operating an order picker and may include working in receiving, picking, packing, or shipping.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of general warehouse experience.
Experience operating powered industrial trucks, including order pickers.
Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently, and to solve problems quickly.
Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling hazardous materials, such as chemicals.
Experience with computers and scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

Process customer orders daily to meet customer expectations.
Work in one or more warehouse process paths: receiving, picking, packing, or shipping.
Pick selected items and prepare them for shipment.
Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures.
Complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials.
Help ensure inventory is stored properly.
Work collaboratively with the team to support a positive experience for colleagues.
