About The Position

The Warehouse Worker 2 works in warehouse operations, including picking and receiving, to process customer orders and prepare shipments. The role may involve working in one or more process paths: receiving, picking, packing, or shipping. The colleague packages and labels shipments according to standard operating procedures, completes documentation requirements for hazardous materials, and helps ensure inventory is stored properly. The position supports delivery of products ranging from personal protective equipment to educational and scientific equipment. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work requires standing and moving around the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. The role calls for dependable, enthusiastic team players who can also work independently and solve problems quickly.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of general warehouse experience.
Experience with powered industrial trucks, such as order pickers.
Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently, and to solve problems quickly.
Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling hazardous materials, including chemicals.
Experience with computers and scanning equipment.
