About The Position

As a warehouse colleague, you help deliver products ranging from personal protective equipment to microscopes for high school biology classrooms. In this picking role, you select items from the warehouse and prepare them for shipment, helping customers and colleagues in work that supports science, health, and safety. The role is based on a 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule and involves working as part of a team while also handling tasks independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently, and to solve problems quickly.
• Ability to read and write in English.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of general warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks, including order pickers.
• Experience handling hazardous materials, such as chemicals.
• Experience with computers and scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders daily to meet customer expectations.
• Work in one or more process paths: receiving, picking, packing, or shipping.
• Pick selected items from the warehouse and prepare them for shipment.
• Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures.
• Complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials.
• Help ensure inventory is stored properly.
