About The Position

The Parcel Manifest Specialist ensures accurate, timely, and controlled mail manifesting from inbound parcel induction through outbound shipments for entry into the postal stream. The role handles parcels with care and ensures accurate tendering to USPS or third-party carriers within 12 hours of manifesting at the site. The position fills prepared parcel orders received from the CMOP, scans and weighs parcels, applies postage labels, sorts and prepares shipments, and loads outbound conveyances. It also maintains parcel accountability, identifies cross-scanned or mislabeled parcels for investigation, reports systemic conditions or defective materials, checks equipment condition, and keeps the work area clean and orderly. The worker follows safety and security procedures, uses material-handling equipment as required, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

0–2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
Familiarity with computers and basic math skills.
Ability to work well under pressure to meet performance standards.
Must successfully pass a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
Customer-service driven.
Strong team player.
Ability to follow policies and procedures.
Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift.
Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions.
Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Fill prepared parcel orders received from the CMOP according to customer instructions.
Manifest parcels by scanning, weighing, and applying postage labels; sort and prepare shipments for the appropriate shipping vendor.
Ensure complete accountability for parcels handled within the mail manifesting site.
Identify and sort cross-scanned or mislabeled parcels for investigation.
Assist with sorting and preparing parcels for distribution to the appropriate shipping vendor.
Load conveyances for outbound shipments.
Report systemic conditions or defective materials to the Shift Supervisor/Lead.
Ensure equipment is operational before performing work tasks.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow prescribed safety and security policies and procedures.
Operate rolling carts, pallet jacks, or forklift trucks as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
