About The Position
The Warehouse Supervisor works with warehouse associates to prepare and move food products according to established safety, performance, and accuracy standards. The role maintains and verifies documentation to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the distribution center. Its performance directly impacts overall safety, cost, and service metrics.
Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate functions, duties, and procedures are performed as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Receive, unload, move, and load merchandise.
- Verify counts of items received and note discrepancies or damages.
- Issue and deliver items to the proper destination and obtain signatures to document delivery or receipt.
- Maintain proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage and rotate stock according to schedule.
- Maintain the work area safely and properly, and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Manage and maintain stock control, plan future needs, adjust par levels, process stock order review orders, control dead stock, and maintain dock delivery scheduling.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
