About The Position

The Restaurant Supervisor directs and responds to guest questions and needs, and is responsible for hourly team members on the floor before, during, and after service. The role requires knowledge of menu offerings, timely food delivery, and strict adherence to food safety guidelines. The supervisor executes area setup and breakdown and oversees event breakdown after service.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in foodservice or hospitality.
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and comprehended English.
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions with little guidance.
Ability to interact professionally with high-profile guests and provide exceptional experiences.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; remain mobile for long periods; and move easily and quickly between sitting and standing.
Ability to react with physical and mental alertness in emergencies.
Ability to lift or move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Meet with directors before events to review details.
Ensure food and beverage are properly displayed and maintained throughout events.
Know all menu offerings and use suggestive selling and upselling techniques.
Build rapport with guests, determine where they would like to eat, and help them get situated.
Complete event setup and breakdown within provided timelines.
Conduct post-event product inventory and restock as needed.
Create, modify, and close sales checks in the point-of-sale system.
Understand event paperwork and reports.
Follow location appearance guidelines.
Supervise and complete opening and closing stand sheets.
Maintain service areas.
Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service policies.
Direct and respond to guest needs and supervise hourly team members before, during, and after service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
