About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal Warehouse Associate (Package Handler) at its Mount Prospect, Illinois location. The role supports warehouse operations by safely unloading, sorting, moving, and loading packages, while maintaining quality, following safety protocols, and keeping the workspace organized. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided.

The seasonal assignment runs from October 27, 2026, through January 1, 2027. The shift is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or until the sort is complete, with seven-day availability and two days off. Hours may vary with business needs, and overtime may be required. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent roles after the assignment, but continued employment is not guaranteed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Must be able to meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift packages weighing about 30–50 pounds independently and participate in team lifts for packages up to 50 pounds; the posting also notes items may average 50 pounds and occasionally weigh up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and repeatedly bend, twist, reach, push, pull, squat, and perform other physical tasks throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to work in varying hot and cold warehouse temperatures.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload trailers and sort packages by ZIP code.
• Move packages and load trucks for delivery.
• Handle packages safely and help ensure they reach their destination on time.
• Keep the workspace organized and ready for work.
• Work cooperatively with the team and follow safety protocols.
