About The Position

The Waitstaff - Banquet sets up banquet functions and break tables, serves meals to patrons in banquet settings, and cleans up after banquets. The role prepares and organizes non-entree items, serves food and beverages professionally, attends to guest requests, and performs related service tasks. Employees are expected to follow KHC policies and property-specific standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Must follow proper safety precautions at all times.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, handling items, reaching, communicating, and tasting or smelling.
Must frequently be able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist.
Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Must have close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet function and break tables with required items according to property standards.
Prepare, organize, and pre-set non-entree items for banquets, including coffee, bread, butter, and condiments.
Serve food and beverages to banquet and meeting-break guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Garnish and decorate dishes before serving.
Observe diners and respond to additional requests or determine when meals have been completed.
Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee, complete side work, and perform other required services.
Clear and reset tables and properly store banquet items at the conclusion of each course or banquet.
Follow KHC policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
