About The Position
Waitstaff at Masonicare at Ashlar Village, a senior living community in Wallingford, Connecticut. This day-shift position is scheduled for 32.5 hours per week, including every other weekend. Staff wait on residents, take orders, and provide professional service while handling multiple tasks. On-the-job training is provided. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions in English.
- Ability to work in a team setting, meet deadlines, and follow processes.
Responsibilities
- Wait on tables, take resident orders, and serve professionally while handling multiple tasks.
- Participate in daily menu meetings with the Chef and Supervisor to review the evening meal and specials.
- Check the dining room before meals to ensure tables are correct and neat in appearance.
- Clear tables, bus dishes to the dish room, and reset tables.
- Follow the post-meal cleaning schedule.
- Follow the department dress code and wear provided uniforms that are clean and neat.
- Monitor the posted schedule and promptly report to work at the assigned time and date.
- Attend all scheduled in-services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
