About The Position

The Waitstaff - Banquet role sets up banquet functions and breaks, serves meals to patrons in banquet settings, and cleans up after banquets. The employee prepares and serves food and beverages, attends to guests’ requests, and clears and resets tables according to property standards. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Employees must follow KHC policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including the described physical demands.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Set up banquet function tables and break tables with required items according to property standards.
Prepare, organize, and preset non-entree items for banquets, including coffee, bread, butter, and condiments.
Serve food and beverages to banquet and meeting-break guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Garnish and decorate dishes before serving.
Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are complete.
Ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brew coffee, complete side work, and perform other required services.
Clear and reset tables and properly store banquet items at the conclusion of each course or banquet.
Follow KHC policies and procedures and property-specific guidelines and standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
Follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.
