About The Position

We are seeking a highly effective leader to drive execution, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment across the firm’s Operations & Technology organization. This role provides leadership across Operations, Technology, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Operations, Project Management, and Client Services, ensuring strategic initiatives are effectively executed, operational risks are proactively managed, and business processes continue to evolve in support of the firm’s objectives. Working across multiple business functions, this individual will lead operational improvement initiatives, strengthen governance, optimize business processes, and enhance organizational effectiveness. This role partners closely with senior leadership while exercising significant independence in driving cross-functional initiatives, improving operational performance, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10–15+ years of experience in investment management, with exposure to operations, portfolio operations, and/or technology
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing outcomes across multiple business functions in a highly regulated investment management environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement
  • Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution while driving organizational performance and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and drive alignment
  • High level of accountability, ownership, and follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of strategic operational initiatives across Operations, Technology, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Operations, Project Management, and Client Services, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
  • Drive enterprise execution by translating strategic priorities into actional plans, measurable outcomes, and sustainable operational improvements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen governance, reduce risk, and improve the effectiveness of business processes
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, governance frameworks, and best practices that promote consistency, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Provide executive oversight of strategic vendor relationships, including performance management, contract governance, due diligence, and cost optimization
  • Oversee departmental financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and resource planning across multiple functional areas
  • Ensure timely execution of strategic commitments by proactively resolving operational issues, removing execution barriers, and driving accountability across teams
  • Provide oversight for shared operational infrastructure, business systems, vendor platforms, and administrative controls to ensure effective operations, appropriate governance, and strong delivery
  • Lead change management efforts by synthesizing user feedback, identifying adoption challenges, and translating insights into actionable enhancements to processes, systems, and workflows
  • Foster collaboration across business functions by aligning stakeholders, resolving cross-functional challenges, and promoting effective execution of enterprise initiatives
  • Lead high-impact operational initiatives and organizational projects that support the firm’s strategic objectives and long-term growth
