About The Position

The Vitamin/HBA Clerk works in Sprouts Farmers Market’s Vitamin Department to promote customer satisfaction through prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The role involves maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise, answering customer questions and providing information about vitamins and supplements within appropriate parameters, and staying familiar with department events and seminars. The clerk also shares information about weekly ad items and helps customers locate products throughout the store. The position requires a positive, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced team environment. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches, for distances up to 3 feet, for 10–50 hours without mechanical assistance; maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds that requires up to 35 pounds of force, for up to 2 hours and up to 20 feet; and walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Accurately price merchandise by stamping or marking it, or placing shelf tags and signs.
Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer customer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with upcoming and current department events and seminars.
Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to products throughout the store.
Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
