About The Position

The Vitamin Clerk is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service in the Vitamin Department. The role involves maintaining department displays, accurately pricing merchandise with stamps, markings, shelf tags, and signs, and using supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer customer questions and provide education within appropriate parameters. The clerk stays informed about department events and seminars, shares information about weekly ad items, and directs customers to products throughout the store. The position is in a fast-paced retail environment and may include other related duties as assigned. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods. The stated pay range is $16.95–$22.90 per hour. Sprouts determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications. Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches high, for up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds, requiring up to 35 pounds of force, for up to 2 hours and a distance of up to 20 feet.
Be able to walk up to 3 miles during an 8-hour shift.
Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

Accurately price merchandise by stamping or marking products and placing shelf tags and signs.
Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer customer questions and educate customers within the proper parameters.
Stay familiar with upcoming and current department events and seminars.
Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
