About The Position

The Vitamin/HBA Clerk works in the Vitamin Department at Sprouts Farmers Market, providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service to help ensure customer satisfaction. The clerk creates and maintains department displays, accurately prices merchandise using stamps, markings, shelf tags, and signs, and uses supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer customer questions and provide education within appropriate parameters. The role also involves staying familiar with scheduled department events and seminars, sharing information about weekly ad items, and directing customers to products throughout the store. The position is in a fast-paced retail environment and may include other related duties as assigned. Team members under 18 are restricted from using knives other than safety cutters, using ladders, operating garbage or cardboard compactors, operating motorized or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods. Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.

Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds from 4 to 72 inches, for distances up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
Be able to maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds, requiring force up to 35 pounds, for up to 2 hours and a distance of up to 20 feet.
Be able to walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Accurately price merchandise by stamping or marking items and placing shelf tags and signs throughout the department.
Use supplement and vitamin knowledge to answer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with department events and seminars that are scheduled or upcoming.
Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Adhere to safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
