About The Position

The Vitamin/HBA Clerk works in Sprouts Farmers Market’s Vitamin Department, providing prompt, friendly, knowledgeable service to help customers learn about vitamins, supplements, and alternative health. The role supports customer satisfaction by maintaining department displays, pricing merchandise accurately, sharing information about weekly ad items and upcoming events or seminars, and directing customers to products throughout the store. The clerk is expected to work in a fast-paced team environment and educate customers within appropriate parameters.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible, changing schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Show mutual respect for others and maintain a high ethical standard consistent with Sprouts’ culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
Be willing to gain education on new products and alternative health.
Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday; lift, stack, and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 pounds between heights of 4 and 72 inches for distances up to 3 feet, for between 10 and 50 hours without mechanical assistance; maneuver a utility cart holding 20 pounds requiring up to 35 pounds of force for up to 2 hours and distances up to 20 feet; and walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly, knowledgeable customer service in the Vitamin Department.
Create and maintain department displays.
Price merchandise accurately by stamping or marking items and placing shelf tags and signs.
Use vitamin and supplement knowledge to answer customer questions and educate customers within appropriate parameters.
Stay familiar with department events and seminars, including those coming up on the calendar.
Share knowledge of weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations throughout the store.
Follow applicable safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
