About The Position

The Virtual Patient Safety Attendant monitors patients remotely who may be at risk for falls, injury, or self-harm. From a remote station, the attendant observes patients’ physical and emotional well-being and communicates concerns to the care team in real time to support timely intervention and patient safety. The role also involves documenting patient activity and changes, protecting confidential information, and collaborating with healthcare colleagues in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
No prior experience is required.
No travel is required.

Responsibilities

Continuously observe patients to support their safety and well-being.
Identify risks, including falls and self-harm, and promptly alert the care team so staff can intervene.
Accurately and clearly document patient activity and changes throughout the shift.
Safeguard confidential information and respect patient privacy.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote compassion, respect, and teamwork.
