About The Position

INTELEX is seeking a skilled medical interpreter fluent in Vietnamese and English for a fully remote position. The interpreter provides accurate and timely interpretation to support communication between patients and healthcare providers. The work includes simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, using medical terminology appropriately, and facilitating clear, culturally appropriate communication in medical settings. Availability for over-the-phone interpretation (OPI), video remote interpretation (VRI), or scheduled appointments is required. The posting also notes legal and medical interpretation scenarios.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of professional interpretation experience; interpretation experience must be included on the resume.
• Proven expertise in the medical or legal sectors.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory-retention skills.
• Professional, HIPAA-compliant setup.
• Wired USB headset with noise cancellation.
• At least 10 Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely interpretation between patients and healthcare providers.
• Perform simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.
• Use medical terminology appropriately.
• Facilitate clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings.
• Be available for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments.
