About The Position

INTELEX is seeking a skilled Spanish-English Medical Interpreter for a fully remote role. The interpreter provides accurate, timely interpretation to support effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. The work includes simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, using medical terminology appropriately, and facilitating clear, culturally appropriate communication in medical settings. Interpreters may provide over-the-phone or video remote interpretation, or work scheduled appointments.

The role requires a professional, HIPAA-compliant setup, including a wired USB headset with noise cancellation and internet speeds of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download. Full-time and part-time availability is offered, with shifts available 24/7. Compensation is $9 per connected hour (15 cents per minute).

Requirements

• At least 3 months of professional interpretation experience; interpretation experience must be included on the resume for consideration.
• Proven expertise in the medical or legal sector.
• Availability for over-the-phone interpretation, video remote interpretation, or scheduled appointments.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory-retention skills.
• A professional, HIPAA-compliant setup.
• A wired USB headset with noise cancellation.
• Internet speed of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download.
