About The Position

INTELEX is seeking a Medical Interpreter fluent in Punjabi and English for a fully remote position. The interpreter provides accurate, timely interpretation to support communication between patients and healthcare providers. The role includes simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, using medical terminology correctly, and facilitating clear, culturally appropriate communication in medical settings. Interpreters must be available for over-the-phone interpretation (OPI), video remote interpretation (VRI), or scheduled appointments. Full-time and part-time opportunities and shifts available 24/7 are mentioned. Compensation is $12 per connected hour, or $0.20 per minute.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of professional interpretation experience; the posting states this is a must.
• Proven expertise in the medical or legal sector.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory-retention skills.
• A professional, HIPAA-compliant work setup.
• A wired USB headset with noise cancellation.
• Internet speed of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download.
