About The Position

The Medical Interpreter provides remote Arabic <> English interpretation to support communication between patients and healthcare providers. The work includes accurate, timely simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, appropriate use of medical terminology, and clear, culturally appropriate communication in medical settings. The role supports OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments and may involve interpreting in medical or legal contexts.

Requirements

• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• At least 3 months of professional interpretation experience; this is required and should be listed on the resume.
• Proven expertise in the medical or legal sectors.
• Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory-retention skills.
• Professional, HIPAA-compliant setup.
• Wired USB headset with noise cancellation.
• Internet speed of at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely interpretation between Arabic and English for patients and healthcare providers.
