About The Position

INTELEX is a language services and outsourcing provider specializing in interpretation, transcription, customer support, AI and data collection, and language recruitment and operations services. It serves customers across the United States, Canada, Germany, and other regions.

The Medical Interpreter will provide accurate, timely Vietnamese-to-English and English-to-Vietnamese interpretation to support communication between patients and healthcare providers. The work includes simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, appropriate use of medical terminology, and facilitating clear, culturally appropriate communication in medical settings. The position is 100% remote and may involve over-the-phone or video remote interpretation, or scheduled appointments.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of professional interpretation experience; interpretation experience must be included on the resume.
• Proven expertise in the medical or legal sector.
• Availability for over-the-phone interpretation, video remote interpretation, or scheduled appointments.
• Strong listening, note-taking, and memory-retention skills.
• Professional, HIPAA-compliant setup.
• Wired USB headset with noise cancellation.
• Internet connection with at least 10 Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely interpretation between Vietnamese and English for patients and healthcare providers.
