About The Position

As a Sales Manager, you will manage Retail Lending Consumer Direct Production Loan Officer (LO) teams that pursue residential mortgage lending from prospective leads generated via Customer Sales Reps (CSR) outbound phone solicitations, mail marketing campaigns, and inbound inquiry customer calls. You will manage your team to achieve sales goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). In addition to overseeing a team of Loan Officers, you will also contribute to all aspects of the AmeriHome Retail Lending production platform. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development of your team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in Managing Sales Team or similar field.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Encompass (LOS), Velocify (CRM) and MS Office products.
  • Advanced knowledge of FHA, VA, Non-QM, Jumbo and Conventional loan products.
  • Experienced with Purchase and Re-finance purpose transactions.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set and manage team and individual production, personal and growth plans.
  • Track and report on personal and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Plan and lead periodic company, division and team meetings.
  • Identify areas of improvement within each team, create and execute action plans with Team Managers to address to maximize team performance.
  • Provide feedback from the sales floor to marketing, recruiting, compliance, and management.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, applicable federal, state laws and regulations.
  • Approve team timesheets, review commission reports, and general management responsibilities including ongoing recruiting efforts, performance management, and terminations.
  • Achieve and maintain strong working knowledge of residential mortgage product guidelines.
  • Lead and develop a team: responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
