About The Position

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Control to join its Corporate Trust team in Houston, Texas, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role is part of the Reconciliations & Control function, within the Control job family, and is an individual-contributor position. It is responsible for establishing robust controls to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency while supporting the organization’s focus on operational excellence, risk management, client focus, and responsible stewardship. The position works with cross-functional teams to promote accountability and transparency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree or certification, such as CPA or CIA.
• 5–10 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement control frameworks using risk assessment and management expertise.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and enhance control processes.
• Analyze control systems and report findings to senior management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead audits and monitoring of control activities and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote understanding of control practices across the organization.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation by keeping up with industry trends and best practices.
